CITIZEN PROJECT SELECTION COMMITTEE MAKES SPLOST RECOMMENDATIONS

The Committee members were all citizens who volunteered to serve. A large group volunteered and they themselves elected 3 members and 2 alternates from each District for a total of 20 members. Each County Commission District had equal representation on the Committee. No member of the Board of Commissioners or County staff were on the Committee. The Committee met numerous times over a two-month period to develop the project recommendation list.  Click here for full report http://www.celebratedouglascounty.com/view/events/view1event/&cevent=7059

The Board of Commissioners can accept, reject or modify the project recommendations from the Committee.
