TAG OFFICE & TAX COMMISSIONER’S OFFICE CLOSURES

The Douglas County Tag Office and Tax Commissioner’s Office will be closed to the public half day Friday, June 22, after12 noon and all day Monday, June 25, 2018.  These closures are due to the relocation of these offices to their new location at the Douglas County Government Annex (Old John Bleakley RV Building) at 6200 Highway 92 – Fairburn Road, Douglasville, GA 30134. INFORMATION WILL BE AVAILABLE on RideShare (Connect Douglas) Van Pools, current GRTA Bus Routes and fares, and Senior Voucher Program.

A SURVEY OF PUBLIC OPINION ON THE NEW PROPOSED BUS SYSTEM will be collected by the Collaborative Firm who is marketing the new branding of CONNECT DOUGLAS.  You will get to complete a survey as to YOUR PREFERENCE on any new bus routes.  TAKE A FEW MOMENTS TO VOICE YOUR CHOICES!

DOUGLAS COUNTY CITIZEN’S ACADEMY

The Douglas County Citizen’s Academy is accepting applications NOW through JUNE 27, 2018! This is an annual, FREE ten week program that helps citizens obtain a better understanding of our government! The Citizen’s Academy meets once a week on Tuesdays starting July 10, 2018 until September 11, 2018.

THE GREAT DOUGLAS COUNTY SHREDDING EVENT

“The Great Douglas County Shredding Event” will be held at the Douglas County Court House Saturday, June 23, 9:00am – 12:00pm. This is a fantastic opportunity for citizens to dispose properly of their personal documents, tax records, and financial reports. PLEASE BE SURE TO ARRIVE EARLY!!!
